About Stephen V. Hiatt MD
While studying civil engineering and playing collegiate baseball, I developed a unique appreciation for the musculoskeletal system, leading me into the field of orthopedics.
My clinical practice focuses on comprehensive treatment of the hand and upper extremity. Conditions that I treat include: fractures, rotator cuff injuries, arthritis, dislocations, tendinitis, sports-related injuries and nerve compression conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome.
My goal is always to maximize nonoperative treatment options and discuss surgery only when necessary. I encourage patients to make informed decisions about their health. I’m happy to answer questions and engage in dialogue with them.
I am dedicated to improving the well-being of my patients with high quality medical care.
Kansas City is home. My wife and I fortunate to have been raised in the Kansas City area and look forward to raising our family here. We enjoy the food, parks, sports and the people.
