Ectopic Pregnancy

stethoscope

An ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilized egg starts to grow somewhere other than the uterus, usually in a fallopian tube. (It's sometimes called a tubal pregnancy.)

The key signs of an ectopic pregnancy are belly or pelvic pain and vaginal bleeding. The pain may be sharp on one side at first and then spread through your belly. The bleeding may be light.
