About
Emily Martinez was raised in Independence, Missouri. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science In Nursing In 2012 from Graceland University. During her time as a labor and delivery nurse, she received her certification in inpatient obstetrics and became an internationally board-certified lactation consultant. She became a certified nurse-midwife after graduating from the University of Kansas Medical Center's School of Nursing in 2021 with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She is passionate about caring for patients with perinatal mood & anxiety disorders and providing lactation support to postpartum patients.
Emily's biggest joy is her family-immediate and extended. She is married with three children and has one dog. She enjoys traveling, spending time with friends & family, and nearly anything outdoors including biking, hiking, and running.
