Apex Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has been a cornerstone of medical and orthopedic surgical care for the residents of south Kansas City and Johnson County since 1967. In January 2017, we took the bold step of changing our name to APEX. Before then, our physicians provided comprehensive orthopedic services for 50 years as Carondelet Orthopaedic Surgeons. As a division of Signature Medical Group, our doctors strive to provide the highest level of medical care in their specialty and sub-specialty areas. The sub-specialty areas include Foot & Ankle Surgery, Hand & Wrist Surgery, Total Joint Replacement surgery of the Shoulder, Hip & Knee and Sports Medicine with special interests in Shoulder, Elbow, Hip, Knee & Running Medicine as well as other areas such as Concussion & Migraine Treatment and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation treatment.
When we changed our name to Apex Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, our group expanded to better serve the medical and location needs of our patients. We added a second location in Belton, Missouri, added Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Urgent Care Services with our Apex OrthoNow clinics and hospital privileges at Belton Regional Medical Center and St. Luke's South Hospital. We also enhanced our ongoing relationships with St. Joseph Medical Center and Menorah Medical Center.
