About
Matthew Melander, DO is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician who is board certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship-trained in orthopedic sports medicine. He completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine arthroscopic surgery, focusing on minimally invasive techniques. He has extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, and hip, as well as ACL reconstruction, and the treatment of injuries in competitive and recreational athletes.
Dr. Melander has more than 10 years of experience working with workers' compensation claims and performing Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs). Dr. Melander completed his medical degree at the University of New England and his residency at Des Peres Hospital. He completed a fellowship at the prestigious Methodist Sports Medicine Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
