Hi, my name is Dr. Alisa Ash and I am an OB-GYN physician at Independence Women's Clinic.

I like to take care of patients by being just upfront and open. We go through their history. I like to know what they hope to get out of the visit. I also like to make sure that I communicate what are the current recommendations and guidelines for them; what are really the best options for them. I like for my patients to know all of their options and to feel educated by what I'm telling them to where they can feel like we're making the choices together.

Because a lot of the issues we see people about are very private that they don't talk to anybody else about and so I want my patients to feel like they can talk to me and that we can then develop a plan that they feel comfortable with.

When I was pregnant with my own children, I chose to come here and to see one of my partners because - why would I go anywhere else? I knew I would be getting the best care. It's obviously where I think my patients should come too.
