Hi, my name is Dr. Ralph Silverman. I am a colon and rectal surgeon at ColoRectal Specialists, a division of Signature Medical Group. I completed my colon and rectal surgical fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital and currently board-certified in both colon and rectal surgery and general surgery. In addition to clinical responsibilities, I am also a clinical assistant professor at St. Louis University where I help train medical students.

I chose to specialize in colon and rectal surgery because of the various procedures that can be performed and the variety that’s available. I’m particularly interested in inflammatory bowel disease and diseases of the colon and rectum such as issues like incontinence, hemorrhoids, colon cancer, as well as rectal cancer.

My twin daughters keep me busy at home and while I work, I enjoy working with families to ensure that their loved ones are getting the treatment that they need. I also enjoy working with my colleagues here at ColoRectal Specialists.
