Dr. Azzam is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. Before joining Kansas City Bone and Joint Clinic, he provided care for college football and minor league baseball teams as well as professional ballet, cheer, and wrestling organizations.
Dr. Azzam performs all aspects of general orthopedics, and enjoys treating both athletes and non-athletes ages 12 and older. He specializes in arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, which keeps him up to date with the latest advancements in research and techniques in sports medicine.
Getting patients back to what they love doing, whether by nonsurgical or surgical means, is Dr. Azzam's goal. An athlete himself, he has always loved to compete, and sees orthopedics as a means to help patients triumph over injury.
Outside of the office and operating room, he enjoys spending time with his family, all types of exercise, and following the St. Louis Cardinals.
