We are looking for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in our busy independent orthopedic practice. This is an excellent career opportunity working with board-certified orthopedic surgeons. As a member of the patient care team this position has a wide range of patient care responsibilities in the clinic and possible operating room opportunities for qualified candidates.
Possession of a current Missouri license to practice as a licensed Physician Assistant or Family or Nurse Practitioner
- At least two years of experience in pediatric orthopedics preferred
- Advanced clinical skills and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of prescription medications and their applications
The practitioner will gather patient histories, perform physical examinations, order appropriate diagnostic testing and devise patient treatment plans in accordance with medical guidelines, standards and protocols. The practitioner will provide patient education about surgery, the surgical experience and post-operative care. The practitioner will appropriately document and code for services using the organization’s electronic health record.
