An alternative to allergy shots for those with grass pollen and ragweed allergies is now offered in the form of a new FDA-approved tablet at Signature Allergy & Immunology, a division of Signature Medical Group. Offices are located in Creve Coeur and Sullivan, Mo.
“The tablet is called Sublingual Immunotherap (S.L.I.T) and treatment begins 8 to 12 weeks before allergy season,” said Hamsa N. Subramanian, M.D., Signature Allergy & Immunology. “Patients will need to ask their allergists if this treatment is right for them.”
